Town of Cheyenne Wells and
CDOT Enhancement Project
Underway
|
|
|
|
The Town’s awarded
Enhancement Grant project is well underway. The large drainage
culverts are
installed
across State Highway 385
as you can see in the photos above. Beginning this week they will
be installing pans on North 3rd, 4th and 5th streets and working
on the sidewalk and handicap ramps. The Town and CDOT appreciates
your continued support in slowing down around the work zones for
the safety of the workers.

Pictured above is the Town Staff crack sealing before the annual
chip seal projects begin. Crack sealing is performed to keep the
asphalt sealed and to prevent moisture from penetrating into the
sub grade and causing potholes. Cracks are caused by extreme variations
in temperature which caused the pavement to expand and contract. |
